Early this morning, San Diego police responded to a call of car that went off of the parking area at the Glider Port and into a canyon.
Police found the car, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
According to 911 Video News, a short time later, police were called back to the scene amid reports someone was trying to get into several nearby buildings at UCSD.
Officers found a naked man in the brush, but when they tried to make contact, he took off and fell into a 40-foot ravine.
He told the officers that he had broken his back and a leg.
Firefighters were called to the scene and conducted an aerial rescue to get the man out of the ravine.
They loaded the man into a stokes basket and lifted him to safety.
He was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
